Summary
This tool is a comprehensive quantitative paper based food frequency questionnaire, which includes 41 food groups comprising 90 individual food items. Using photographs, the tool was developed to measure the frequency of consumption of major sources of folate in adults. This tool has been validated once in 2002.

Special Considerations
The nutrient data package (IDA Publications Ltd, 7 Rennie Court, 20 Stamford Street, London SE1 9LP) used to estimate folate intakes could not be found, therefore an updated nutrient database is required. The food list may also need to be updated due to reformulation of foods in the UK since 2002.
