Summary

This tool is a self administered semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaire consisting of 53 questions relating to 150 food items split into 20 food categories. The tool was developed to measure total antioxidant capacity from a range of food items. The tool has been validated once.

Special Considerations

The tool was developed using a food list of major dietary sources of total antioxidant capacity in a typical Italian diet. This tool analysed food group intake and not nutrient intake. The FFQ repeatability was evaluated 1 year after the initial administration in 55 subjects.
