Tool Information: FFQ (South India)
|Full Nutrient||Usual; Retrospective||4 months||Food Frequency Questionnaire||No||Detailed Information||Web Link|
This tool is a self-administered, semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaire that contained 132 food items with intake frequency divided into four categories of never, daily, weekly and monthly. The tool was designed for PURE (The Prospective Urban, Rural Epidemiological Study) which is a large, ongoing prospective cohort study. The tool was validated via a pilot study consisting of a convenience sample of PURE study participants.
The FFQ is a refined version from the PURE cohort study that has been shortened using stepwise regression analysis. The Nutritools team could not get in contact with the tool owner to verify the units of measurement for calcium and folate so standard measurements of mg and ug respectively were added, despite paper stating g and mg.The values displayed in the result section are from the original FFQ.
