This tool is a quantitive food frequency question to be administered by a trained interviewer. It contains 145-items including 41 traditional foods and 8 categories of consumption frequency. The tool was developed for use in an intervention study called Healthy Foods North (HFN) which aims to reduce dietary- and lifestyle-related risk factors to chronic disease in Inuvialuit. The tool was subsequently validated in 2010 by Pakseresht and Sharma.
This has been developed to provide dietary data for Inuvialuit.
Yes, all field workers were trained by the Principal Investigator in administration of the questionnaire
