Summary
This tool is a short qualitative food frequency list (FFL), which consisted of 24 food items and was used in three large scale surveys of the MONICA project Augsburg to monitor trends in food intake. It was validated once against weighed 7-day records in a male population.

Special Considerations
With the exception of two food items (sweets and bread), FFL data can be used for analysis on a group level and an individual level, however analysis should be done with caution. An update to the food composition table is required.
