This tool is a paper based weighed food diary. Using weighed portion sizes, the weighed food diary was intended to measure the dietary intake of infants and children across four consecutive days -including Saturday and Sunday. The tool was validated in 1994.

McCance and Widdowson ‘s The Composition of Foods (4th Edition), including supplementary food composition data was used in the validation study. An updated version of the nutrient database is required.
