Summary

myfood24 is an online 24-hour dietary assessment tool that can be used as a dietary recall or as a food diary. Using standard portion sizes, photographs and the ability for participants to enter specific food weights, myfood24 provides a quick and easy-to-use tool to track, monitor and analyse nutritional intake. The tool covers >100k generic and branded foods and has had both relative and absolute validity assessed. This included comparison against a range of biomarkers. Special Considerations

Apps for use in healthcare are now available for both iPhone and Android, with a healthcare professional portal. Other language versions with relevant food tables are available. Please check the website for details. Food tables are available for tube and sip feeds, babyfoods, foods for medicinal purposes. The system can also be used for teaching with additional feedback. Data Analysis

The tool provides online reports to show a range of outputs. Nutrient data can also be ouput as a Microsoft Excel file. Further analysis of that data needs to be conducted within a statistical package.
